Research:
Urban Outfitters was first launched in west Pennsylvania, as Free People and later changed to Urban Outfitters.
UO targets are teens and young adults, men and women. By selling clothes, shoes, music, home decor, beauty, etc.
OU’s style is described as hipster, bohemian, and reto.
Although OU sell their own clothes line, they also carrie many other brands, such as Calvin Klein, Fila, Tommy Hilfiger, etc.
New Design Proposal:
The new design of Urban Outfitters was purposely built smaller so that you can have a taste of what the store is really about, but in a less overwhelming environment. I kept the style of the store the same but the setup is a bit different. I placed the men’s section right in front of the store then instead of placing the accessories diving the men’s and women’s section, I just put them one right after the other. The back wall is where the shoes section is located and to the left side of that there’s the fitting room.
